Nabhidhang is located on the restricted border. Hence, you need permits to enter the area, for which you will have to submit a few important documents. Remember, permits and documents are checked at multiple stops, especially in Dharchula and Gunji. So, make sure you have everything in place:

• Inner Line Permit: For Adi Kailash Yatra, when visiting Nabhidhang (Om Parvat), you need an Inner Line Permit issued by the SDM office in Dharchula. You can also get it online through the official ILP portal of Pithoragarh District.

How to Reach

The primary route to reach Nabhidhang includes Kathgodam → Pithoragarh → Dharchula → Gunji → Jolingkong (Adi Kailash) → Om Parvat (Nabhidhang). This entire route can take approximately 7-8 days. One can trek, hire a cab, or use a personal car to reach Nabhidhang. Here’s how you can reach the viewpoint of the Om Parvat:

• Reach Kathgodam from your city, and then take a bus or train to reach Tanakpur.
• Next, from Tanakpur, take a bus to reach Dharchula
• From Dharchula, reach Gunji
• The final step is to reach from Gunji to Nabhidhang. You can either trek to Nabhidhang from Gunji or book a cab to drive to Nabhidhang, which takes around 2 hours.

The easiest way to reach Nabhidhang is to book a cab from Dharchula and reach Nabhidhang, which includes a drive from Gunji. But if you have a customized Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra package from a reliable tour operator, then you need not worry at all. They do the travel arrangements from transportation to pickup and drop-off.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Nabhidhang is during the summer season between May and June. Apart from this, the post-monsoon season between September and October is also the best time to visit Nabhidhang. These seasons offer pleasant weather with clear skies, making the excursion easier for trekkers and pilgrims. It is the peak season for the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra.

Avoid visiting during the monsoon season from July to August. The region receives heavy rainfall, which makes trekking difficult. Also, the roads may get blocked due to landslides. Hence, it is not safe to visit Nabhidhang during the rainy season.
