Arrive in Dharchula to join your Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra. Dharchula is a beautiful and tranquil Himalayan town located on the Kali River, right on the border with Nepal. Upon arrival in Dharchula, you will get a warm welcome and be transferred to your hotel by our representative. Freshen up, relax, and have your lunch. Later, step out of the hotel and complete the inner line permit and medical checkup formalities at Dharchula. Take an evening stroll along the river or visit the local market. Return to the hotel and get a short briefing on the next days to come from our representative. Have a simple veg dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dharchula.
Have a very hearty breakfast and check out of the hotel. Begin your drive from Dharchula to Gunji or Nabi Villages. These are small yet beautiful villages, located at an altitude of approximately 3200 meters. The drive will take you through breathtaking Himalayan terrain. You will pass through scenic villages like Tawaghat, Chialekh, Garbyang, and Napalachchu. The route follows the newly constructed Lipulekh Road, which is both rugged and stunning. You will stop at military check-posts for permit verification along the way. Upon arrival in Gunji or Nabi Village, check into a traditional Himalayan homestay. You will have basic yet comfortable accommodation. Freshen up and spend the rest of the day resting and acclimatizing. It’s essential because your body needs to adjust to the high altitude. Enjoy a warm dinner before you retire for the night.
After a light early breakfast, start your trip to Jolingkong, a sacred mountain site located at approximately 4,800 meters. The nature along the way is simply breathtaking, as the views become increasingly grand and stunning. At Jolingkong, you can see the excellent Mount Adi Kailash, a new concept of a sacred place comparable to Mount Kailash in Tibet. Besides, visit Parvati Kund, a small glacier lake revered as holy and a symbol of the Goddess Parvati. Take some time to pray, meditate, and immerse yourself in the warmth of the spot you’re in. After finishing darshan and wandering about, head back to Gunji or Nabi around 4-5 pm. Your dinner will be at your homestay, followed by a quiet overnight stay.
Have a very hearty breakfast. Then, take a trip to the divine Om Parvat to see one of the most mysterious and revered mountains in the Himalayas. Your journey will go through Kalapani. Visit a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and see the source of the Kali River at Kalapani. After that, reach Navidhang, the best place to see Om Parvat. The holy mountain is characterized by a natural snow shape like the sacred “ॐ” (Om) symbol, and the white snow is very distinct from the dark rock. It is a very awe-inspiring experience for anyone who visits the place. After worshiping and photographing the miraculous vision, you will be on your way back to Gunji/Nabi Village in the late afternoon. In the evening, you are free to rest or meditate. Have dinner and stay overnight.
Have a very hearty breakfast and then check out of the homestay at Gunji or Nabi Village. Then, drive back to Dharchula. See the unspoiled beauty of the Himalayas for the last time on the way. On arrival in Dharchula, proceed with your onward travel plans on your own. Our services end here.
