Overview

Kailash Mansarovar is one of the most pious pilgrimages for Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, and Bons. And, the Kailash Inner Kora (Parikrama) is one of the most challenging trips. It is suggested to undertake this journey only if you are physically fit or have mountaineering experience. The Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama 2026 includes the 34-kilometre walking journey, which includes the Asthapath, Nandi Parvat, Atmalingam, Saptarishi cave, and Rakshas Lingam. The Kora begins from Darchen and ends at Darchen. The Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama 2026 is scheduled to begin in April 2026. The Yatris or pilgrims are advised to book a tour package or embark on this challenging trek only when they understand the risks, uncertainties, and challenges associated with traveling to the high altitude of Tibet for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tour representative, waiting for you with a four-wheeler. He will escort you to the hotel for check-in and stay overnight.

Wake up early and embark on a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Visit the most famous and largest Hindu temple in Nepal, Pashupatinath Temple, and two other notable temples of Mata Guheswori and Budhanilkantha Temple. After lunch, check out of the hotel. You will be dropped off at the airport to board your flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. you will fly to Simikot, which is the gateway to the Kailash tour by helicopter. Our tour representative will drop you off at the airport to fly to Simikot, which takes approx. 45 minutes. Upon arrival, you will take another chartered helicopter to Hilsa. After Hilsa, you will reach the small city of Tibet, Taklakot. Overnight stay in Taklakot.

You will spend the day free at leisure to get acclimatized for the Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama. Do some physical exercises with the other members of the group or embark on a short trek for the practice of Kailash Yatra. It helps you to acclimatize fast. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Taklakot.

Today, after having your breakfast, check out of the hotel. You will proceed to Lake Mansarovar. After a 2-hour drive, you will reach the holy Lake Mansarovar, located at the foothills of the Kailash Parvat. Before that, you will see another lake called Rakshah Tal (Lake) adjacent to Lake Mansarovar. After this, continue your journey to Lake Mansarovar. Check into the guesthouse and have your lunch. After lunch, you will begin the Parikrama of Lake Mansarovar by vehicle, covering approximately 105 km. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Today, you will visit Lake Mansarovar and take a holy dip. Perform the puja rituals and continue your parikrama of Lake Mansarovar. After completing this, you will drive towards Darchen, the base camp of Holy Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Darchen.

After breakfast, drive to Tarboche (Yam Dwar), the starting point of Kailash Parikrama. You will cover the long 7km trail, which takes almost 7 hours. And from time to time, the face of Kailash Parvat will appear. You will trek through the beautiful rocky cliffs, witnessing the clear blue sky and waterfalls, making the landscape even more beautiful, giving you a sense of Lord Shiva’s presence everywhere. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Today, during the Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama, you will visit the Charam Sparsa from the north face of Kailash. You will have the closest view of Mount Kailash from this place as it is a part of the inner Kailash Kora (Parikrama). It will take an entire day to trek to reach Charan Sparsa and have a close view of Mount Kailash, and come back to Dirapuk for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, get ready to climb to Dolma La Pass, which is around 18,600 feet above sea level. Then you will descend to Zuthulpuk. You will cross Yamasthal to reach the Shivasthal. It is the most difficult part of the trek as you hike up to 18,600 feet above sea level. Once you reach the Shivasthal, do the rituals and offerings. It is believed that offering clothes and gold here will be repaid in the next life. Sit down and do meditation after the offerings and Puja rituals. After that, you will descend and go Parvatisthal and Gauri Kund. By late afternoon, you will reach Zuthulpuk, then continue your journey to Darchen. Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Darchen.

Today, after breakfast, you will begin the Kailash Inner Kora (Parikrama). You will hike to Asthapath, explore Serlung Gumba, Saptarishi cave, Atmalingam, and the Mount Kailash view. If you want, you can take a horse or a personal helper from Darchen. After darshan, return to Asthapath for an overnight stay with basic amenities and food.

Enjoy the morning view of the holy Mount Kailash Parvat. You can even click pictures with your family and friends there. After this, trek back to Darchen and continue your drive to Taklakot Cross Immigration and reach Hilsa. Overnight stay in a hotel in Hilsa.

Have your breakfast and check out. Today you will fly to Simikot from Hilsa. From there, you will take a connecting flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, the group splits into two: members going to Lucknow and members flying to Kathmandu. If you are going to Kathmandu, you will fly from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. If you are going to Lucknow, our tour representative will drive you back to Lucknow, where you will stay overnight at the hotel.

On the final day of your Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama Yatra, you will be dropped off at the Kathmandu International Airport/Lucknow Airport to board your flight back home or onward destination.
