Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Tour from Delhi

Early morning drive to the Nepalgunj airport to board your flight to Simikot. Upon arrival in Simikot, our tour representative will meet you and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel/lodge. You will stay in Simikot in a guesthouse in a dormitory style with other guests. If the weather permits, you can fly to Hilsa today itself, or you will stay here in Simikot overnight.

Today, you will fly from Hilsa to Simikot. After breakfast in the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the Simikot Airport. It will take 25 minutes to fly by helicopter in a group of five members. During your journey, you will also complete the immigration check formalities at the China Immigration building. After a 22 km drive, you will reach Taklakot. After completing the immigration check formalities, you will finally arrive at your hotel to rest and stay overnight. Dinner will be served in the hotel.

You will spend the day at leisure to get acclimatize. We suggest you taking rest in the hotel or if you want you can explore the nearby markets in Taklakot. There are few local shops and restaurants that you may like to explore and buy a few items. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel in Taklakot.

Have your breakfast or take the packed snacks with you and leave for Mansarovar Lake. You will stay near Lake Mansarovar and have the holy darshan of Mount Kailash. You will begin your journey from Taklakot and have your first stop near Rakashas Tal Lake. This lake is believed to be associated with Ravana. Thus, it is known as Ravana’s Tal. From here, you will have the first glimpse of the holy Mount Kailash. After spending time at Rakashas Tal and clicking pictures, proceed to Lake Mansarovar. Check into the guesthouse near Mansarovar Lake. Visit the lake and take a holy bath. Perform puja rituals on the banks of the lake and then complete the Parikrama of the holy lake. Return to the guesthouse after Parikrama and have some rest and stay overnight.

Wake up early in the morning and get ready to start your trek to Mount Kailash from Darchen. Before that, if anybody wants, they can again visit Lake Mansarovar for a holy bath. After breakfast, take a 35 km drive to reach Darchen, from where you will begin your trek. Darchan is situated near the base of Mount Kailash, offering numerous hotels and guesthouses. We will start the Mount Kailash Kora (Parikrama) after driving 6 km to the Tarboche flagpole. At Tarboche, you may get the options to book a Pony/horse and even a porter for trekking. At this point, you will see the South Face of Mount Kailash and also the Yam Dwar just a few metres away. This is the starting point of the trek, and after completing the 12 km trek, we will reach today’s destination, which is Dirapuk. After reaching the destination, you will see the north face of Mount Kailash. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Get up before dawn and go outside to see the magical view of the Golden Mount Kailash. Sunrays hitting the top of Mount Kailash turn it golden. This unforgettable scenic vista will create a powerful emotional and sensory memory. After this, have your breakfast and continue the 22 km long trek to Zuthulpukh. This is the most challenging part of the trek as you trek to the highest Dolma La Pass. After reaching Dolma La, you will see “Shivasthal”. It is believed that Lord Shiva had meditated here. Pilgrims believe that leaving their belongings behind at this place will be attained by them in heaven. Hindus believe that leaving clothes, ornaments, a drop of blood, or a lock of hair is the act of wishing for the end of this miserable life and attaining salvation. After ascending to Dolma La, steep down to Gauri Kund, visible on the right side of your trek. After holy darshan of Gauri Kund, continue your trek to Zuthulpuk for an overnight stay.

Have your breakfast at the hotel/camp/guesthouse and explore the caves and visit the temple build around. The cave also contains meditation platforms. It is worth exploring these caves before the final trek of Mount Kailash. After this, you will reach the final destination of your trek near Chongdo, where the vehicles will be waiting for you. A 6 km drive will bring you to Darchen, where you will meet the other members of the group already waiting there. After some tea/coffee or snacks, drive to Taklakot. Overnight stay at the hotel in Taklakot.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and drive towards China-Nepal border. After completing the formalities, cross the border on foot and reach Hilsa, Nepal. At Hilsa, you will board a helicopter to fly to Simikot and then board a connecting flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival, you will meet our tour representative, who will drive you to Lucknow. Overnight stay at a hotel in Lucknow.

After breakfast, our tour representative will transfer you to the Lucknow Airport to board your flight back to Delhi.
