Kailash Yatra via Lhasa with Everest Base Camp

Enjoy your leisurely breakfast at the hotel and get ready to embark on a sightseeing tour of Lhasa. You will visit the famous Jokhang Temple, which is considered to be the most spiritual sight in Lhasa. Then visit the Barkhor Street, the traditional and oldest street of Lhasa. You will see the street crowded with tourists always. After this, you will explore the Potala Palace, built by King Sotsen Gampo in the 7th century, and it stands tall as a testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage. After this, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today you will do nothing but rest at the hotel in Lhasa. Enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hotel only. You can enjoy doing personal activities like strolling and get acclimatized. Overnight stay in Lhasa.

After breakfast, drive to Lhatse via Shigatse. You will enjoy a scenic drive, while passing across Nyangchu Valley, Karo-La Glacier, Gyantse as well as the Yamdrok Lake. En route, visit the Tashilunpo Monastery. Upon arrival in Lhatse, you will be dropped off at the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast, head to Rongbuk Monastery, passing through the Pang La Pass, which is tucked in Mount Everest’s northern face. During the journey, you will have a breathtaking view of Mount Lhotse, Mount Everest, and Mount Makalu. Return to the hotel in Lhatse for an overnight stay.

Wake up before dawn and get ready to witness something really magical. Watch the sunrays hitting the top of Mount Everest. Then have your breakfast and get ready to move forward on your Kailash Yatra via Lhasa with the Everest Base Camp tour. Drive to Saga while passing through the Peiku Tso Lake. Upon arrival, check into the lodge/guesthouse for dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early and have your breakfast, or pack snacks. You will be driven to Lake Mansarovar today. You will also have the first view or darshan of the mighty Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. After reaching, complete the check-in formalities in the guesthouse for an overnight stay. Later, visit the Lake Mansarovar and pray to the Almighty. Since it’s evening, bathing in the lake is not advised. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Before moving to Darchen, visit Lake Mansarovar for Pooja, Meditation, and a holy bath today. Do Mantra chanting, and pray with other pilgrims, performing the Pooja rituals on the bank of the Lake Mansarovar. Later, continue your drive to Darchen. Overnight stay will be at the hotel/lodge in Darchen.

Have your breakfast early or get it packed, then head towards Tarboche. Every pilgrim will pass through the pious Yam Dwar. The ones who decided not to trek can have a view of Mount Kailash and return to the Yam Dwar, where they will stay in a lodge or guesthouse (at additional expenses) and wait for the other pilgrims to rejoin them after the Mt Kailash Parikrama. You will begin your trek. The first 5-6 hours will be a flat trek, including some gradual ascent and finally leading to Dirapuk. You will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Dirapuk.

Wake up before dawn and have a glimpse of the Golden Mount Kailash. When the first sunrays hit Mount Kailash, it turned golden, offering an unforgettable sight to behold. Later, have your breakfast and begin the adventurous trek to Zuthulpuk. The initial trekking of approx. 6-7 km goes steep, where you climb up to Dolma La Pass (5630 m). After this, you descend to Gauri Kund, which takes approx. 2-3 hours and then continue your journey for another 2-3 hours on flat land. This is considered to be the longest and toughest trek of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. At the Dolma La, you will witness the Shivasthal, where pilgrims leave behind their clothes, ornaments, and other belongings, as it is believed that whatever you offer here, you will attain it in heaven after death. After passing through the Dolma La Pass, you will see the sacred Gauri Kund on your right-hand side. Finally, you will reach Zuthulphuk, where you will stay overnight in a guesthouse/lodge/tent in a dormitory style.

Today is the last day of your trek. You will conclude your Kailash Yatra with a short trek to Darchen. Wake up early and begin the trek after having your breakfast. It will take 3-4 hours to descend to Darchen town. You will see the vehicles waiting there to pick you up and transfer you to Darchen’s guesthouse. Meet the other members, who did not undertake the trek. After having lunch, drive to Saga, completing the Lake Mansarovar Parikrama. Overnight stay at your guesthouse in Saga.

Have your breakfast and proceed to Shigatse by road. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

After having your breakfast, you will be driven back to Lhasa. This will be the concluding point of the overland circuit of Tibet. Visit a nearby monastery or just spend the evening meditating or relaxing. Overnight stay in Lhasa.

After having breakfast, check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will drop you off at the airport, where you will board your flight to your home or onward journey.
